Thursday wanted to have some fluttery eyelashes, so it glued angry wasps to its eyelids. Couldn't be more happy with the dazzling look! Though it does sting a bit. ---- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote EACH day. Wed=[#133 -0 *827] Thu=[#133 -0 *856] NCoID™155

I was hoping the power of puns would be powerful enough to break Oasis' infatuation with Torg. Who could ever see him as a sexually viable option after all these?

He's being very smart, or very very dumb. He's using her own words and her own emotions against her. He's found the button to push. If he were anybody but Torg, I would say his lifespan was about to go up in flames.
But Torg or no Torg, if I was him I'd be runnin' as fast as my little Torg-feets could carry me........

Oasis looks terrifying in that second-last panel.
Also, to the mods: Any reason why the reaction thread for 10-Mar-2017 is stickied?

Torg knows so much about software and robots he is about to crash the Oasis executable.
IF: angry THEN: stab IF: no stab THEN: kill it with fire
Also: sad to see Oasis just lose her mind like that.

And it was at this very moment where it may suddenly dawn on Torg that his attempts to provoke pyrokenesis are being done in the middle of a forest.

Something tells me they should have established safe words before doing this…

I'm loving the direction the story has taken, but I have to say, two things really stand out here:
1.) It's jarring to see how far into "Cold, manipulative chessmaster" our goofy, lovable Torg has fallen to, and 2.) I find it intriguing that of all the people he has manipulated, Oasis, of all people, is the one to make him hesitate, even for a second.

Deep down, in spite of everything she's done, he knows she's "innocent" at some level. She's basically a child in many respects, and he (rightly) feels bad when that's emphasized in contrast to his manipulations.

If I recall correctly, Hereti didn't order Oasis to be literally insanely jealous of Torg. Where does that behavior come from, and why is it so consistent across her incarnations, even as her personality and disposition fluctuates wildly?
Is this a clue to her true nature? This comic appears to show that the jealousy is just as powerful and reliable a response as Override B-1. It may even be more powerful, as I don't think it is confirmed whether Override B-1 can activate the pyrokenisis.
