Friday is very short on time, so this will have to do. Though... Has this site been slow for anyone else these past few days, or is it just me? Click on anything and it takes 10 seconds or so to respond. ---------- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Please remember to vote before your brain is scooped clean.

I must say Pete, I am really feeling the ambience with this strip. Good job!

I'm trying to figure out what that is on the 2nd to last panel where Torg is shuddering.
Is that the pumpkin from his "leftover goop" memory?
Beautiful strip in any event. It sets the mood well.

I see the lights of the village Gleam through the rain and the mist And a feeling of sadness comes o'er me That my soul cannot resist
A feeling of sadness and longing That is not akin to pain And resembles sorrow only As the mist resembles the rain.

While Riff is stuck IN a book, Torg is stuck WITH a book.

Atmospheric and ominous... The force of will that Gwynn is relying on isn't starting out well... Zillatain wrote: Friday Though... Sometimes it goes to "Bad Gateway" and I have to refresh!

Yeah, the forums have been lagging for me for... maybe a week?
I really hope it actually is darkest before dawn, because we need some light here.
So that's the "hollowed" pumpkin; I wonder why she bothered. Was it just an object lesson, or did she have a deeper purpose?
Also -- is that another tree-demon?

Yup, it seems the site is getting over it's illness. Maybe not quite. Not as bad but still slow.
But now Torg is being afflicted by an illness of "bad juju."
