so when Zoe flashes the guys in today's strip, I don't see a tattoo.
My first thought is, did the almighty Pete make a mistake? Is this just an oversight?
or did something happen to that tattoo? something...mystEERious...*wiggles fingers*

I wondered the same thing, and I'm surprised noone else caught it in reatcions. I think it's just an oversight on Pete's part, since she had her tatoo on Friday.
Although it would be interesting if it someday dissapears and there's some interesting plot behind that, I'm hoping that's not the case here.

What with delays and all, Pete was in a huge hurry to make today's strip. I think that's all there is to it.

i dunno - not sure if i buy it. zoe's got the tattoo in another panel. my only thought about the reasoning behind pete intentionally not including it could be the fact that she just got emotional and defensive about torg. He did give her the neclace.
besides, why include zoe flashing these guys twice for just a gag, especially when it seems this portion of the "radio show" mini-storyline was just beginning to have an impact on the rest of sluggy canon (when zoe showed her feelings about torg)?
Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions. But it's the first thing I've wanted to comment on in months.

I thought that the lack of tattoo was odd as well. I hope that pete just left it out. Remember what the original use of the tattoo was? It was so the Egyptian guy (forgot his name), could sneak his love out of the stables. Maybe the tattoo stayed there as long as Zoe loved Torg and thought that he felt the same about her. No that she has saud out loud that she thinks that Torg hates her (panel 7 of today), maybe the curse has disapeared. Any thoughts?

But it's a recap panel. He didn't draw it with the rest of the comic.
And even if he did, it's possible he forgot. If I'm remembering right, he's forgotten the arm on Riff's sunglasses before, hasn't he?

I'd say the 'lighting' conditions made the tatoo invisible...

Here's to the forgotten tattoo, and the useless spec (on my part) that it generated. Pete has got me so paranoid when it comes to plot details that I now overthink EVERYTHING that happens. I guess that might not be that bad considering the Pet shop guy/Uncle Time connection, but now I read to much into everything.

The petshop uncle time connection was created with the creation of uncle time, timeless space, and bun bun's return.
The pet shop guy was originaly just a pet shop guy, I assure you.
As the "god" of the sluggy universe pete can do as he pleases to tie things together in anyway.

Actually, the tatoo was edited in later after people in Reactions pointed out the mistake.
