Sluggite Koan for me. Just re-read it and it has inspired me now just like it did the first time, what a classic. Sad to see it all coming to a close but it's been a good run, wish I had logged back in sooner.

I've always liked Ian McDonald's (co)work in Meanwhile In The Dimension Of Pain....
I've also recently realised Gisele Lavage drew Heart of Hearts so that one has a soft spot for me.

Sluggite Contest Week, with Bikini Suicide Frisbee Days coming in a very close second

I first read them as archive trawls. Maybes I saw something different in them. They were something else even more fantastical than normal Sluggy.

It was my favourite. I was sad when it ended.

I liked it, too. It just started getting kind of weird and a bit gross towards the end - I think that's when people started turning on it. The naysayers tend to be heard - especially when those who do like it, just shrug at the critics and move on...

Bikini Suicide Frisbee Days was mine. It was always a nice contrast to the intensity of the story around it. A reminiscence of sorts in a way.

I just assumed the whole weirdness near the end was basically Pete & Ian together saying "we're done with these characters. And we're not coming back to them. They're done and over. Don't expect more."

A fun way to write them out of the universe.
