I remember the first time I laid eyes on Sluggy Freelance.

I was at a friend's house to do some PnP gaming (probably something from White Wolf), and I saw a copy of "Is It Not Nifty" sitting on the table.

During a pause in play, I casually picked it up and started reading. I missed the rest of the game because I couldn't put the book down.

I can't believe that was almost twenty years ago. It's amazing Pete has been able to keep this going for all of that time.

Shine on, you crazy diamond.

Welcome to the forum dao jones!

Wait...so you're registering to be able to vehemently resign your registration? Or is it that you registered since you sadly resigned yourself to the inevitability of your registration? Which is it?

I think those early book pages were laced with something called...EXCITMENT! Or is Pete just that good? Nah, gotta be the pages...

Anyway, you may be here to post in the forum or you just accidentally took a wrong turn at the unspeakable horror and ended up here. Either one means you can post in the forum whenever the urge hits you. Now I will tell you about the strange tradition aimed at newcomers. At one time there were Pesterers who pestered you for poetry, but that tends to be very rare nowadays. Even though you may not be pestered, if you do go and post an original poem--usually haiku but any (clean) type is accepted--written by you, you will most likely receive a gift in return. The "gift" will most likely be useless or maim you...a little. Whichever it may be, it should be interesting and surprising. Lastly, this strange tradition applies to the pestering not the poetry. You are not required to do anything more to be a member here...unless you want a gift.

Now go forth and do whatever you want, just don't speculate in Reactions.
