Design a floor in the skyscraper! Decide what to put in it, and make it as unusual as possible. The rules for floors:
  • Mention the floor number in your post. It must be one higher than the previous floor.
  • Floors cannot directly interact with other floors.
  • The elevators must be able to get through each floor in a timely manner without the passengers being harmed.
  • Floors must abide by the forum rules.
  • Floors cannot duplicate other floors.
  • Floors whose numbers have a culturally significant value (42, 404, 666, etc.) must reference it.
Floor 1 is a typical hotel floor, except that the layout changes every 10–20 minutes.

2 is a hotel floor, but every room only has a single twin-sized bed...

2 is the loneliest number, after all.

Floor 5 is the Friendly SS Childcare Complex. It is provided free of charge to all visitors for the hours or days the parent(s) require. The entire Friendly staff is dressed as clowns at all times.

Floor 7: offices, super-dense. So dense the workers aren't given cubicles, they are put in truncated octahedra.

But! They are all assigned to scribble bunnies, produce spec, discuss politics, and play word games.

Floor 8 - can be traversed in an ordinary manner vertically, but extends infinitely horizontally. Fortunately, you're never more than 100 ft away from the main elevator bank (somehow!).

@drache -- no "7" reference? And shouldn't the cubicles be septahedra?

Floor Nein does not exist.

It has no relation to the fictional Harry Potter 9 and 3/4 platform. No way wizards and witches could find this floor. Also don't think you could push between buttons 8 and 10 with a wand to get to this nonexistent floor that would stupendous to behold to magic users if it were to exist. Which they don't, nor this floor.

Floor 10 has a large pool with a wave machine for the hanging of, well, ten.

Floor 11 is actually 2 identical floors, side by side. This leads to much confusion, especially since the elevator is configured to randomly stop at one or the other.
