So, now that Torg has Chaz in hand........

We know that Torg thinks that she's innocent, but does Chaz?

While Torg has learned to use Chaz like a real swordsman, what does it take to kill when Chaz is powered? That is, will a scratch do it? I seem to recall that happened to an 'innocent' in the Dimension of Lame??

And if Oasis is killed by Chaz, will she die permanently? While I did pose it as a question, I'm essentially speccing that result... I recall that we've discussed Chaz and Oasis before - has that spec been put out there previously?

The prospect of Oasis wielding Chaz rather terrified me, but I never speculated on what would happen to her if hurt/killed by Chaz.

I can't remember, has Torg ever been surprised at who Chaz though was innocent?

Would she die permanently? I don't know. Has anyone ever been killed by him that had been able to regenerate prior to being killed? I'm not sure if the zombies count, and certainly Zhoas "lived" on after.

Torg has been "failed by blood" at least once.
I think it was when Naw attacked the gang and ate Sam. Shortly after that event Torg fought the shadow demon with a powered Chaz.

Edit

Checked that out and it wasn't the pre Tunisia fight. I remember Torg running past a dead body and hoping to power the blade and being foiled.

You may be thinking of these two strips.

Well, I was initially thinking that they don't. Zombies and vampires are undead - that is they are dead, and yet "live" rather than being alive, dying, and resurrecting. On the other hand, we were privy to Orsintos' research on ghosts... ...and implications that the research was somehow tied in to the Oasis story. So I guess that until we understand more about what Oasis is, and what she isn't, the question is likely premature.

I just have a strong feeling that Chaz will somehow write the final chapter on Oasis. But at this point, I haven't the foggiest idea what that would mean - and I rarely seem to be able to guess what Pete is up to, so the feeling probably means diddly-squat anyway.

As for the innocent powering Chaz... There is a difference between thinking someone is innocent and being surprised that Chaz is not powered up and hoping that blood is innocent enough to power Chaz. I don't remember Torg ever being surprised at who did or did not power up Chaz.

There was also something in the dimension of Lame.
Someone having a rather bad reputation was deemed innocent, Chaz saying something to the effect that even the worst people in DoL are innocent enough.

And there has been a LOT of spec about Chaz killing the innocents that power him.
Especially if Zoe would survive being his power-source.
So far every power-up has been from a person that was already dead.

Demonic dogs

Torg killed them, but least 1 (of 2) was "innocent".

Has anybody ever "donated" blood to Chaz (eg Torg's suggestion of breaking a person's nose).

If I recall correctly Chaz has warned Torg that even the finest cut could/would kill him (no sword hugz).

A random and terrifying thought just came to mind: What if Oasis was able to "power-up" Chaz without needing the blood of the innocent?

That would be as good a reason as any to keep her away from Chaz.

Technically, no. However, there was the time when they got caught in the spirit realm and Zoƫ wished for the room to be filled with innocent blood. We don't know whether innocent blood somehow can be separate from life - or where that much innocent blood came from if it must be associated with a body somehow.... So ultimately we don't know whether it was "alive" innocent blood (as it would be if 'donated'), "dead" innocent blood, or something neither dead nor alive - in which case it shouldn't matter.

That would be terrifying! But even if she needed innocent blood, Torg admitted there are innocents at Hereticorp.

I'd still like to know what is considered "innocent".

If I accuse CaesarSalad of being in league with the communists, and he's not, that would mean he's innocent of that charge.
If a conflict between Mercia and Trent were to wipe out a village that had taken no side, those people would be innocent.
Then there's the whole "age of innocence" thing in several religions

But do any of those fit Chaz definition?

I suspect that the only one who can answer that question is Chaz himself.
